Amazon has not yet announced their Amazon Prime Veterans Day military discount for 2022 as of 3 June 2021. It remains to be seen if Amazon will offer a Veterans Day 2022 Amazon Prime discount.
If you're looking for another great military discount, I recommend The Platinum Card® from American Express. Learn more about how to get the annual fee waiver for active duty military in my free course.
I suspect that Amazon will announce the discount, if they do, around 6 November 2022. In 2019 the Veterans Day Amazon Prime discount was announced 6 Nov 2019. In 2020 and 2021 Amazon did not offer a Veterans Day Amazon discount. We'll see what happens in 2022.
In 2019, Amazon Prime offered military servicemembers an amazing military discount for Veterans Day.
It was the best Veterans Day Amazon Prime military discount seen yet.
Military servicemembers received $40 off a 1 year subscription to Amazon Prime, but only if you purchased this deal between 6-11 Nov 2019. The regular $119/year Prime was only $79 a year for the first year.
This Veterans Day 2019 Amazon Prime promotion was available even if you are already an Amazon prime subscriber. It simply extends your membership for another year after your current subscription runs out, at the reduced $79/year rate.
How to Get the Veterans Day 2022 Amazon Prime Military Discount
This was how to receive the discount in 2019. To receive the Amazon Prime promotion, you must be a verified U.S. veteran, Active Duty or Reserve or National Guard member.
- This promotion may be available Nov 6–11 2022
- If eligible, you can sign up for Prime at $79/year (normally $139/year) for the first year
- You can attempt verification a maximum of three times
- Prime Student and discounted Prime members are not eligible for this promotion
- Amazon and Partner Rewards points can't be applied towards this promotion
Here is how looked in 2019 for the offer:
All you need to do to verify your military service is enter your:
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- And select whether you are Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard
Note that Reserve and National Guard may need to enter a discharge date for the last day you came off of orders.
Big thank you to Amazon Prime for such a tangible support of active duty, Guard, Reserve, retirees, and veterans!
Military Discount on Amazon Prime for Veterans Day 2022
The first time I tried signing up for the Veterans Day Amazon Prime military discount it couldn't verify my military service.
I tried again a few hours later and it worked great! Here's what the checkout cart looked like once I successfully added the One Year Membership to my card:
You'll see when you add the membership to your cart it will go in full price and then the “Military Offer” will be listed at -$40.00. See the image below.
After that I just checked out and added an extra year to my Amazon Prime Membership! Very easy.

Amazon Prime Day Military Discount
So far Amazon had not announced any Amazon Prime Day military discount for 2021. Prime Day last year was October 13-14, 2020. Hopefully a military discount will be offered for Veterans Day 2021 like it was in 2019.
One of my favorite Amazon products is the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite. I can read lots of books on this e-reader and borrow ebooks from my local and on base library through apps like Libby and Overdrive.
Amazon Prime Military FAQ
Amazon cut their price of 1 year of Amazon Prime from $119 to $79 in 2019. Hopefully they will do it again for Veterans Day 2021. To get the discount, active duty, retirees, and veterans simply need to visit this page here and verify their eligibility.
Yes, Amazon Prime offers a veterans discount, but only for a few days a year. In 2019 it was from Nov 6 – Nov 11 2019. Hopefully we will see similar dates in Nov 2021 for Veterans Day.
Send an email to [email protected] with the following information: First Name Last Name Date of Birth: What is your current status – Active Duty, Veteran, Retiree or Reserve? If you are a Veteran or Retiree, what is your discharge month and year? If you are active duty, what is your .mil email address?
I received the same error, don't worry I eventually got my discount!
Unfortunately there is no Amazon military discount codes for 2021. You will have to wait until Veterans Day 2021 to see if Amazon releases another Prime discount for veterans.
Amazon does not typically have a Veterans Day sale. They didn't in 2018 or 2019. However, they sometimes do offer Amazon Prime to military veterans at a 33% discount. This is an awesome discount that all veterans should take advantage of!
Normally Amazon does not offer a military discount. In 2019, Amazon offered Amazon Prime for a 33% discount ($79 instead of $119) for US active duty, guard, reserve, and military veterans.
