The Bilt 2.0 cards, including the card_name, should waive the annual fee for active duty military and military spouses.

We don't have any data points yet for how the MLA annual fee waiver will work, so please leave a comment if your fees are waived and what your MLA status is.

Thanks to the Military Lending Act and Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, Cardless, the issuer of the Bilt Rewards cards, might reduce the annual fee of the Bilt Palladium Card and Bilt Obsidian Card to $0 for covered borrowers of the MLA and SCRA.

This is based on reports from Reddit and the Military Money Manual Instagram.

With Bilt Rewards cards, you can make housing payments including rent and mortgage payments and pay no transaction fees.

Combined with military annual fee protections, the Bilt Rewards cards are powerful rewards cards for US military families.

  1. I’ve been on hold for an hr at the main number and was transferred twice back to the main number and but on hold again. Their customer service is absolutely abysmal and the process to get the MLA and waiver no one obviously knows.
