The World of Hyatt Credit Card military benefits include waiving the $95 annual fee for military servicemembers and spouses with the Chase MLA policy.
The Chase Hyatt credit card is a fantastic military hotel credit card that gives you an annual free night, lots of way to earn points, and elite status at Hyatt Hotels.
If you are a military servicemember or spouse new to credit cards, I recommend you start with an American Express Gold card, then get a Chase Sapphire Reserve. World of Hyatt Credit Card Military Benefits
This card's welcome bonus is already fantastic but where this card really shines is with the perks and benefits of annual card membership. Because Chase waives the $95 annual fee for military servicemembers and spouses, you should keep this card around for a long time!
Annual benefits of card membership include:
- Free night certificate in any Hyatt category 1, 2, 3, or 4 hotel or resort
- Free Hyatt Elite Discoverist status
- 5 elite nights towards status
- No foreign transaction fees
Free Night Certificate Category 1-4 Hyatt Hotel or Resort
My wife has had a Chase World of Hyatt card for almost a year now, so she will soon earn her annual free night certificate at any category 1-4 Hyatt Hotel.
Here are 3 category 4 hotels you could stay at in Hawaii, Australia, and Vietnam on your next vacation.
Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, Hawaii
Grand Hyatt Melbourne, Australia
Park Hyatt Saigon, Vietnam
As you can see, these are super nice spots! You could definitely plan an awesome vacation, holiday, or weekend getaway by using your Hyatt points and free night certificate.
The free annual night certificate that comes with the Chase Hyatt credit card for military servicemembers is an awesome perk.
It's a great reason to hold on to the card long term and make sure that both the active duty servicemember and their spouse BOTH get the card, so you can earn 2 free nights per year.
Free Hyatt Elite Status for Military
With the Hyatt card you get automatic Discoverist elite status, the 3rd highest tier of Hyatt's loyalty program.
5 Elite Nights Towards Your Next Elite Status
The next highest tier is Explorist, which requires 30 nights stay to earn. World of Hyatt card members automatically get 5 nights credit towards Explorist status, meaning you only need to stay 25 nights to earn this premier status.
No Foreign Transaction Fees
Like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, the Chase Hyatt card has no annual fees.

Best Way to Use Hyatt Credit Card 30,000 Point Welcome Bonus
My wife earned her welcome bonus pretty quickly earlier in the year. The welcome offer she received was 50,000 (may not be available any more).
Now that we have 50,000 Hyatt points, we started looking around at some of the places we are travelling to in 2019. We are taking a quick over night trip to New York City to see my family in the summer and need a hotel room just for one night.
Booking the Park Hyatt New York with Points
We looked at Hilton, Marriott, and Hyatt hotels in NYC before settling on the Park Hyatt New York. This is not a hotel I would normally book a room at, as the cheapest room starts at $1195 per night then adds $179 of taxes for a total cash rate of $1374 per night!
As you can see, we ended up booking this category 7 Hyatt hotel with 30,000 Hyatt points. You could also transfer Chase Ultimate Reward points to Hyatt and make the booking.
Whether you use Chase UR points or Hyatt points to make this booking, you are receiving over 4.5 cents per point: $1374 / 30,000 = .0045
That is an excellent rate of redemption for Hyatt or Chase points.
Chase World of Hyatt Bottom Line
The Chase World of Hyatt card is the perfect hotel card complement to the other military fee waived cards. If you are military, I recommend you and your spouse pick up one of these cards to earn 2 free nights annually and 30,000 point welcome bonus each!
I added the Chase Hyatt card to my list of best hotel credit cards for military servicemembers and spouses. If you get all 4 cards you can have 4 free nights annually at IHG, Hyatt, Hilton, and Marriott.

Spencer,
I am about to go on det for 15 days and we are staying in a HYATT hotel. I do not have the card and would be open to getting it. What is the best way to reap all the benefits from the TDY while we stay in our HYATT.
Matthew
Spencer, does Chase waiver annual fee for world of hyatt business card? They’re offering a nice incentive of 75k sign up points?
Mahalo
Aloha Victor! No, business cards are not annual fee waived since 2020. That’s true for Amex and Chase.
