When you find a product you like, under the “Add to cart” link it should say “Special pricing for eligible students, parents, teachers, and military. Check now” Click this “Check Now” link and the site should ask you to login into your Microsoft account. Create one if you don't have one, you can use any email you want, you don't need to sign up for a Microsoft email address.

At that point you can add the product to your cart and check out with a 10% discount.
This discount is an easy way to save money on Microsoft products. A great feature of the discount is that it's available to not only active duty servicemembers but also veterans, retirees, and family members of US military members.
