About – What's this blog all about anyways?
Make Money
Here's a couple ways I've found to make some extra cash. I've actually been paid from these ventures and they don't require stupid amounts of work:
Lending Club – Invest small amounts in thousands of loans and earn a great return. Google just invested $125 million into Lending Club in 2013. Isn't it time you got in on the action?
AirBnB – Have an extra couch or a spare bedroom? What about if you're going out of the country for a few months? Rent out your space to friendly, clean guests and make a few bucks! I made over $1500 in the first 5 months of 2013.
Save Money
I believe increasing your income is the fastest way to financial independence. However, the military presents some excellent opportunities to save money. Here are some of the best I've found.
8 Ways to Save Money on Deployment – During my recent deployment, we found a bunch of ways to save cold hard cash.
Zero TV Households – We've saved thousands by being a “cord-never” household. How much could you save (both time and money) if you cut the cord?
Invest
After you increase your income and save on your expenses, it's time to invest. Investing is the only way to achieve financial independence. I believe in low cost simple investing.
Personal Capital – This is how you keep track of all your investments.
TSP – If you're in the military, you need to be maximizing your TSP investments. This is the lowest cost, best retirement program available in the US.
