These are my top recommended credit cards for this month. Some have $450-550 annual fees waived exclusively for US military personnel.

As a military servicemember, you are entitled to certain special credit card benefits under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and Military Lending Act (MLA). Under a generous interpretation of the SCRA, American Express waives all annual cardholder fees. This can save you hundreds of dollars a year while still giving you access to some of the best credit cards in the world.

If you're new to credit cards, make sure you read my guide on how credit cards work. When you're just getting started using credit cards, some of the terms can be confusing. Don't let your confusion equal fees and interest charges.

When it comes to selecting a credit card, military members often want great travel rewards, no annual fees, and access to airport lounges. Selecting a card with a great welcome bonus is also important, as this is the fastest way to accumulating hundreds of thousands of points worth thousands of dollars in travel.

American Express and Chase offer the most flexible rewards programs and have the best bonuses on the market. Check out the credit card bonus page I update monthly. It has the best bonuses available for a variety of cards on the market. It's also an easy way to support this site, as I receive a referral bonus if you use my links. Thanks in advance if you do use any of my links!
